  • Just Because

122.6lbs --> Happy it is back down from last weekend but really need to stick to my eating routine this weekend so I can actually see a loss next week.

    Good morning ladies,

On Wednesday I mentioned how exhausted I was feeling. I ended up asking my boss yesterday morning if I could come in late or work from home. She told me to stay home, not worry about work and rest up. She even said I could take today off if I wanted, but I decided against it. She said she knows how tiring traveling can be and that she owed me some time for all the late nights and Sundays I've been working anyways. She is such an amazing Chief of Staff. We are so lucky to have her.

My boyfriend had the day off yesterday so it was nice to spend some time together since we hadn't seen each other since Sunday due to my traveling and his shift work. I made us breakfast, we did some laundry, I cleaned my side of the closet and moved all my winter clothes to Caleb's closet. It is amazing how much clothes I have and really did not realize it. I filled a bag to donate. I need to go summer clothes shopping though. Mostly for work. I want more colour in my wardrobe. I want some cute print skirts, some colourful tops and new shoes, omg new shoes!! Last year right before the summer there was a Federal election so I had to take 5 weeks off unpaid to go and volunteer on a campaign. That put me back a lot so I wasn't able to invest in a cute summer wardrobe.

My boyfriend left for the gym while I was organizing my closet. He came back a couple hours later and look what he had for me:

Flowers and chocolate! He said he thought I wasn't in the best mood when he left so he wanted to cheer me up. So freaking sweet. I was in a good mood, just very focused on getting my closet cleaned up. I was seriously soo surprised. The random surprises are the best!! Such a sweetheart. He's too funny, last night we were lying in bed and he's like "hunnie, I love you so much, I even ate a bunch of the chocolates for you while you were gone so you don't feel you have to eat them all!". Haha realistically, I know he bought the chocolates for himself because they are his favourite kind, so this works for me. I get flowers and he gets chocolate. Win-win!

I had my first volleyball game of the season last night. My goodness was it ever cold out. Not much fun playing in a sweatshirt and jacket. Hopefully next week the weather is warmer because we are a really fun team. We were laughing so much last night, I cried a couple times. Looking forward to the summer!!

Yesterday when I was going through my closet and drawers, I tried on all my shorts from last year and they are all a bit loose. Very exciting, but I still want to lose a bit more before bikini wearing time.

    Today's Intake:

    B- Coffee + 1 egg + a banana [X]

    S- All-bran bar [X]

L- Salad from Subway + Coke Zero [X]

    S- 1/2 avocado [  ]

D- TBD (Either going shopping with my best friend after work or finding a patio if it is nice enough out, so dinner will be planned around this. Nothing heavy because I may have a drink or two)

Have an amazing day ladies!!! xo

PS. My 2 year anniversary is less than a month away. I'm in need of some ideas on how to celebrate and what to get him!!

I am so happy for you! The little, unexpected surprises are the best! He seems like a great guy- hold onto that. Congrats on the anniversary- what about a day-trip somewhere you've never really explored or an active date like a cooking class or paintballing? I know living social does cool things like a paintball trip + a beer tasting or make your own sushi + try different sakes. Worth looking at, even just to get some unique ideas. Concerts are always good too if you have a band you both like- especially now with the nice weather.

@who_said_nights_were_for_sleep - Thanks!! He is an amazing guy, I'm beyond lucky! Those are some awesome ideas! We've done a sushi class before but I like the idea of a concert. I'll definitely check it out. Thanks again! xo
